How does eSalah calculate prayer times?
Prayer times are computed astronomically from each location’s latitude, longitude and date using established methods — Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, University of Karachi and more. You can switch the calculation method on any prayer-times page.
How accurate are the prayer times?
Times are calculated to the minute from solar geometry for the exact coordinates you choose. Your local mosque may follow a fixed iqama schedule that differs by a few minutes — always follow your local masjid for congregation times.
How is the Qibla direction calculated?
The Qibla is the great-circle bearing from your location to the Kaaba in Makkah (21.4225°N, 39.8262°E), shown in degrees from true north together with the distance.
How do I find mosques near me?
Use the search bar or the “near me” tools to find mosques, halal restaurants and Islamic schools by city or your current location. Each listing shows prayer times, contact details and directions.
How do I add or correct a listing?
Every directory has a “Submit” link to add a new mosque, restaurant, school, bookstore or zakat organisation. Listing owners can claim their page to keep details and iqama times up to date.
Is eSalah free to use?
Yes. Prayer times, the directory, the Qibla finder and the calculators are all free and work without an account.
