Silent letter — Written but not pronounced — hamzat al-waṣl, the sun-lām, a silent alif
Ghunnah (nasalisation) — Nasal sound on a doubled nūn or mīm, and the nūn-sākin / tanwīn rules (ikhfāʾ, idghām, iqlāb)
Qalqalah (echo) — A slight bounce on qāf, ṭāʾ, bāʾ, jīm or dāl when they carry a sukūn
Heavy letter (tafkhīm) — Full-mouthed (heavy) letters — khāʾ, ṣād, ḍād, ghayn, ṭāʾ, qāf, ẓāʾ, and a heavy rāʾ
Natural madd (2) — Basic 2-count prolongation — shown on the small dagger-alif, wāw and yāʾ
Madd at a stop (2–6) — A long vowel stretched 2, 4 or 6 counts when you pause on the final letter
Madd before hamza (4–6) — Connected madd (madd + hamza in one word, 4–5) and separated madd (across two words)
Necessary madd (6) — A full 6-count prolongation — also the disconnected letters that open some sūrahs (alif-lām-mīm…)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ﱁ الٓمٓ ﱂ ١ ﱃ ذَٰلِكَ ﱄ ٱلْكِتَـٰبُ ﱅ لَا ﱆﱇ رَيْبَ ۛ ﱈﱉ فِيهِ ۛ ﱊ هُدًۭى
ﱋ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﱌ ٢ ﱍ ٱلَّذِينَ ﱎ يُؤْمِنُونَ ﱏ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ﱐ وَيُقِيمُونَ ﱑ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
ﱒ وَمِمَّا ﱓ رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ ﱔ يُنفِقُونَ ﱕ ٣ ﱖ وَٱلَّذِينَ ﱗ يُؤْمِنُونَ ﱘ بِمَآ ﱙ أُنزِلَ
ﱚ إِلَيْكَ ﱛ وَمَآ ﱜ أُنزِلَ ﱝ مِن ﱞ قَبْلِكَ ﱟ وَبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ﱠ هُمْ ﱡ يُوقِنُونَ ﱢ ٤
ﱣ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ﱤ عَلَىٰ ﱥ هُدًۭى ﱦ مِّن ﱧﱨ رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ ﱩ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ﱪ هُمُ ﱫ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ ﱬ ٥
